Summer Hours
7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Thursday
7:30 am to 1:00 pm Friday
City Hall Bldg is closing on Fridays beginning June 4, 2010 which will impact our availability to the public. On Friday the office will be open to answer phone calls from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. We have added extended hours Monday - Thrusday. This takes effect June 4, 2010 and continues through to August 31, 2010.

What is the job of the Township Assessor's Office?
It is their job, as described by Illinois State Statues, to value all properties at Market Value or the Fair Cash Value. This is done in a fair and equitable manner to ensure the tax burden is fairly distributed amongst property owners. It is the goal of this office to produce accurate and equitable assessments throughout Freeport Township.
It is our mission to serve our property owners by providing an open door policy should they have questions and concerns regarding their property assessment.
