What is the job of the Township Assessor's Office?

It is their job, as described by Illinois State Statues, to value all properties at Market Value or the Fair Cash Value.  This is done in a fair and equitable manner to ensure the tax burden is fairly distributed amongst property owners.  It is the goal of this office to produce accurate and equitable assessments throughout Freeport Township. 

It is our mission to serve our property owners by providing an open door policy should they have questions and concerns regarding their property assessment.

There was an Equalization Factor applied by the Chief County Assessment Office of .9775 or a reduction to 

All Residential Properties by 2.25%
