Freeport Township Assessor's Office has a well-trained and dedicated staff.  As of January 2009 the Freeport Township Assessor's Office consisted of a four person staff, including the Assessor.  All have the CIAO designation with three having the additional Intermediate designation.

In 2011 Freeport Township was comprised of 10,628 parcels.  The breakdown was:  9,566 Residential, 34 Farm, 1025 Commercial/Industrial and 3 Other. 

The 2011 Equalized Assessed Value (EAV) prior Board of Review Action was $307,513,298.  The  2010 Total Equalized Assessed Value, following Board of Review action, was $306,969,098 . 

Prior to the year 2000 the boundaries of Freeport Township were coterminus with the City of Freeport .  In 2000 Freeport Township separated and is no longer coterminus.  This means that Freeport Township boundaries were set and will no longer expand as the City's boundaries change.
